July 26, 2010 - Preservation Pennsylvania has awarded PA Historic Dramas an Initiative Award for Communication for the documentary film, HISTORY LOST: THE OLD CORNWALL SCHOOLHOUSE, produced by SR Productions.
The awards ceremony will be a formal luncheon on September 30th at the historic Gettysburg Hotel.
Although sadly, the old redbrick school was torn down, the short film told a story of how it might have been saved for a possible adaptive re-use for another purpose. Interviews and historic photos of school children were positioned against video footage of the heart-wrenching demolition.
Thank to all of you who agreed to be interviewed, and a special thank you for video production to Jim Hollenbaugh of Smokey's Film & Video in Lancaster and Dave Beard of Simone Associates, Lebanon.
July 26, 2011 - SR Film & Video and local musical legends "The Modern Day Pharaohs" are completing a music video promoting the tourism industry around State College. Called "See It Again," the campaign is aimed at asking alumni and friends of Penn State to consider returning to the area for a vacation. The "Pharaohs" write a custom song in an 80's style. Performance footage combined with several years of gathering footage around State College, show a whimsical look at how much there is to do around State College besides Penn State sports. The "Pharaohs" were a staple of the State College restaurant and bar scene in the 80's and 90's and remain a popular local band today.
